After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University, he earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed a rigorous general surgery residency at the same hospital where he once worked as an operating room orderly. Today, as a surgeon with The Surgeons’ Group, Dr. Mathews brings that early sense of purpose to his work, combining advanced expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery with a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
